Ok everyone. I think that a very important part of our mod will be characters and dialog. Personally, I am fine with bearing a large portion of this burden; however, it would certainly be good to have others help. This is the way I want to use this particular forum:
Each thread will be about a separate character that will be present within the mod. It will contain all the general information such as personality, species, appearance, faction, and etc. It will also contain very specific information that will go directly into the mod (primarily the dialog between the character and the player).
In this way, we can create a lot of the content of the mod now and worry about implementing it later whether it be in 1.011 or Warband.
EDIT: Post general character information in this forum and specific dialog/quests in the private Mod Team Discussion sub-forum.

I could work on character bios if you want me to, and maybe a sketching, but I can't model, and I really need a scanner...

Of course I'll have to approve of character bios.

OK, so, do you want me to do their skills (In game, like iron flesh and power strike) or do char. backgrounds?

Whatever you feel you can do. Character background is probably the most important, but if you do the skills, then it will probably be even faster to add them into the mod.
Of course you do need to understand that skills are subject to change upon implementation according to balance testing.
I might personally go ahead and add some characters that I've made in some Redwall RP sites as well.

Character Bio of the Lord of Salamandastron, Raqiel... (I couldn't get a name that I really like so...)
Born in the time of Lord Urthwhite the Great, Raqiels past is shrouded in mystery. When he first made his appearance to the mountain, many hares had left for the cheery halls of the mountain kings, while only the most loyal stayed. He and a small band of hares set about to restoring the place to it's former glory, all the while fending off sieges from vermin who sought to take the place. After only to seasons, Raqiel had gathered an estimated 300 hares to hold the place, and forged alliances to the mountain kings and the hedgehog tribes, while sending diplomats to the Rhulian of Holt Summerdell and the Green Isles.
Though Raqiel had had his fair share of battles, he is a scholar at heart, and values intelligence over power, even once letting a vermin warlord go for correctly answering a "impossible" riddle.
OK... If you think that's good, I'll continue it... If you want something different, just tell me and I'll edit it over.

It sounds alright. However, don't forget that this mod takes place many generations after the book "Salamandastron". Not even a super special badger is going to be able to live that long.
The character sounds interesting though. Don't forget to include details like preferred weapon and stuff like that.
Also, it may be better to make a separate topic for him. I'll make a character topic soon that you can use as an example.

Think I'll take a stab at this myself.

go for it
right now, we are mainly just establishing the basic character history. Eventually, we will need to go into detail as far as actually writing dialog between the player and the character as well as writing other text about the character the player might encounter.

Hello, I am here to help with writing stuff for the characters and world as well as other text work and concept development. Question, do you want a galley slave trader? The character exists in most Mount and Blade mods as well as the Native game. I could develop him if you want.
Question 2, most mods and the original game have heroes largely in pairs of characters who like each other to help keep the party together and almost every pair is at odds with one other to help create a feeling of which characters you should have to create the party with the least bickering. Is this planned for this mod?
Question 3, the Native and some mods have characters unique to the tournaments who never appear elsewhere. Are you having tournaments? If so, do you want these characters?

If so, do you want these characters? 1) A galley slave trader sounds good. Go for it. 2) It has not been particularly planned, but it is a good idea. I definitely think we should adopt it and even expand it. Another interesting thing would be heroes and characters that have previously known each other and etc. 3) I don't know about "tournaments" because there are not actually any in the books. I think some kinds of competition should be available. Did you have any particular ideas?

Hey all, so of course, im datguy and I like to use commas! Anyway, I apologize if I accidently post where I should'nt or what not like that because really, this is my first forum i've ever joined. So... I was thinking of a good/bad fox (eh neutral) . Also, i've only read the Redwall series up to Mariel, so i'm lacking a lot of info and baddies and stuff like that. Tahgul, is this foxes name. A traveler, jack of all trades master of none (a few). With no connections to anyone or anything, this traveler will help any living creature... for the right price *wink* . A merchant at heart, this fox sells many helpful and exotic wares. He occasionally visits Redwall and barters building matierals for food. Known to many as Tahgul Longfeat (since he travels many places) this fox has no past and doesn't worry about his future. Efficient with daggers and curved swords ( i'm not really a weapons expert), Tahgul Longfeat has visted almost every place on the globe. Tahgul wears a very simple brown habit with many inside pockets. He lugs around a small caravan (closed wagon I guess). Welcomed in many places, he greets people in a buisness like manner. Suggestions for quotes " G'day fine gentlebeast/Goodday pretty marm, would like to browse my exotic goods? You wont find better deals in all of Mossflower!" "You know, I am avaiable to join your posse. I dont fight much, but I can be extremely helpful in bartering for whatever you want." Trade skill 8, tracking 4. Phew, this character creation is kinda tough, lol. Anyway, if you want me to give you his bio, lol i completly forgot about that. Anyway right now was just to incorperate him into the game. O yah...

Since I'm not a mod, I'll just post them here. Some competitions (In the Abbey) could be: -A wall race and ground race. (Loamhedge) -Singing competition (The Bellmaker) -Maybe fishing (Redwall and Mattimeo) -Scoffing competitions (Lord Brocktree;Salamandastron) -Wrestling competition (Lord Brocktree) -Insulting competition (Lord Brocktree) -Bragging competition (?)
Some other suggestions: The player has the ability to help or hurt woodland beasts.
