note: this is copied directly from the profile of one of my old characters on an RP site I once participated in. The details are subject to change as well as the organization.
Your character's full name: Ulbor Thickpaw
Age: 30 (in his prime)
Species: hedgehog (subject to change)
Gender: Male
Allegiance: Good
Appearance:
His name says it all. He is a thick-muscled hedgehog though not much taller than average. He wears chain mail under a dark blue tabbard. His fur and quills are more lightly colored than a normal hedgehog.
Belongings:
He carries his trusted and proven longsword at his side and a bundle of javelins on his back. When traveling he carries a sizable haversack full of provisions. He also carries rope and candles in his haversack and some other various survival gear. A rondel dagger is also graces the back of his belt.
Job or Position:
Ulbor is a mercenary/warrior. He is mainly looking to teach though.
Personality:
Ulbor is generally concerned for goodbeasts and is very wary of vermin. He is not afraid of any vermin but certainly respects a worthy adversary. Around other warriors, he is either very cheerful and lighthearted, or he is a little removed depending on his opinion of the beast in question. Though good humored, he has quite a serious outlook on things and takes most things serious at first.
History and Background Information:
Ulbor's father was a carpenter who lived happily and peacefully in the woodlands until sickness came upon them. Ulbor was left without parents and was lost and panicking when a group of long patrol hares found him cowering from a group of rats. The hares handily dispatched the rats and saved Ulbor. Knowing that they could not properly care for the very young hedgehog, the hares left him in the care of some goodbeasts living in a place called Cedarstock Fort in the east. From then on, Ulbor took the hare warriors on as heroes and aspired to be a warrior himself. As he grew, Ulbor went into the employ of the fort's guard learning the way of the sword. As vermin presence increased, attacks and ambushes started getting closer and closer to the fort. Ulbor continually distinguished himself as a potent warrior on the various patrols around the vicinity of the fort and was promoted to a captain.
Eventually, a small-time vermin warlord attacked the fort. Ulbor fought alongside his fellow warriors but were inevitably outnumbered. Ulbor saw helpless goodbeasts slaughtered as the horde flooded into the walls. But he was knocked unconscious during the fight and was eventually buried under the bodies of warriors and left for dead. He was later saved by an old hermit and nursed back to health. To his dismay, the vermin discovered the hermit and slaughtered him too. Ulbor then vowed to do everything he could prevent more mindless slaughtering of goodbeasts.
As he traveled, he learned to avoid vermin patrols and to survive in the wilderness. He met warrior squirrels living relatively safe in the trees. He met mercenaries and travelers and learned much. Eventually he saw something that sickened his stomach: slaves.
Being a wise beast, Ulbor knew that he alone could do little to help directly, so he made his goal the education of common and noble goodbeasts alike in the art of warfare and defense. He now wanders Mossflower seeking a place to teach any helpless creatures living in Mossflower. And perhaps one day, he will get a chance to bring that particular vermin warlord to justice.
