Character Bio of the Lord of Salamandastron, Raqiel... Born in the time of Lord Urthwhite the Great, Raqiels past is shrouded in mystery. When he first made his appearance to the mountain, many hares had left for the cheery halls of the mountain kings, while only the most loyal stayed. He and a small band of hares set about to restoring the place to it's former glory, all the while fending off sieges from vermin who sought to take the place. After only to seasons, Raqiel had gathered an estimated 300 hares to hold the place, and forged alliances to the mountain kings and the hedgehog tribes, while sending diplomats to the Rhulian of Holt Summerdell and the Green Isles.
Though Raqiel had had his fair share of battles, he is a scholar at heart, and values intelligence over power, even once letting a vermin warlord go for correctly answering a "impossible" riddle. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ His preferred weapon if he has to fight is a Claymore, and he often will carry a pack of javelins... His Armour is light and versatile, and allows him to move quicker than most creatures. This combined with the deadly range of his sword allows him to kill many before they get close enough to use a normal sword.

As I said before, I'm still stumped at how someone born during the time period of the book "Salamandastron" is still allive. Remember the mod takes place an indefinite time period after the latest Redwall book.
Otherwise, interesting character.

Yea... OK then, here's a change to the past... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Raqiel was born in a time of great change, and also, to a badger slave. He spent 5 hard years working for them, never getting rest, and never given quarter. When he finally escaped, he had a healthy dislike for any vermin, particularly Malcon, his old master... He spent another 2 years wandering, getting an army of almost 75 hares, otters, and hedgehogs before coming back to slay the warlord and freeing his friends who still had to work under fear of the whip. When he finally wandered his way to the Great Mountain, he found it under seige, and defended by only a small garrison of 300, against the huge hoard of vermin numbering some 3000. In the middle of the fighting, he charged against them, effectively flanking and destroying them... At the sight of a badger lord, the vermin fled with some 1000 dead. When he became badger lord, he set about restoring the mountain to its former glory. Because of his past, he put up his sword and hoped to have to never use it again... But, because of its position, it has taken more assaults then a rock in the sea. 10 years later, when the wild cat warlord Kurwing charged down the slopes to the east, It seams he will have to fight again...
Do you like that better?
