name: Buratch
species: pure ferret (pure white ferret)
age: young adult
faction: Riftgard
weapons: longsword, poleaxe, rondel dagger
skills: martially proficient, good leader, a bit naive
Story: Buratch is a pure ferret of the House of Riftgard. Some of his family lay plans to take back the castle Riftgard. They plan to again enslave the goodbeasts living there.
After goodbeasts took castle Riftgard many years ago, the remaining pure ferrets retreated into the northeast. There they gradually rebuilt armies and forts while nursing their wounds (both physical and emotional). They gathered what other beasts they could bring into serfdom (which typically meant wretched slavery), and gradually tried to rebuild the glory of the house of Riftgard.
However, when the pure ferrets ruled Riftgard, Buratch's ancestors had chosen to remain in the traditional lands in the northeast tending to themselves and living the lives of true knights. When the other pure ferrets returned they combined forces to take the properties of Buratch's predecessors. The returning ferrets claimed that his ancestors had taken advantage of the pure ferret's absence to unjustly gain lands. Rather than fight and have unnecessary blood shed, the predecessors prudently arranged to hand over the lands in exchange that the other ferrets allow for a peaceful movement of the household to another property to the south west. It was agreed upon. Buratch's ancestors took their household, court, possessions, and serfs with them.
Finding new lands, the began to raise another village and build a small manor house. At first, the beasts inhabiting the neighboring lands quarreled with them, but gradually they learned to live in relative peace. Over time, they had built up a respectable manor house and a small but productive village.
And from this, rose Buratch. He inherited the estates as well as the lessons that had built it. He was always reasonable and just with his subjects. It was not uncommon to see Buratch or his predecessors working alongside his subjects.
And now he is a quandary about what he should do concerning his aggressive "colleagues" from the northeast.
